Condemning the cowardice attack by terrorists, PM Modi says, “Sacrifice of brave security personnels shall not go in vain”

New Delhi, February 14: Condemning the coward attack by the terrorists on CRPF jawans, the entire nation boils in anger so as to give justice to those martyred. Attacking the convoy carrying CRPF jawans, the dreadful attack has left many injured and 43 jawans martyred.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted strongly over the death of 30 CRPF jawans in a suicide attack on their convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.

PM Modi said in his tweet, “Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.”

The prime minister said he has spoken to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other top officials to take stock of the situation following the dastardly terror attack.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh Rajnath Singh to visit Srinagar tomorrow. He has also spoken to J&K Governor Satyapal Malik over Pulwama Attack. Expressing grief, Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Today’s dastardly attack on crpf in Pulwama (J&K) is extremely painful and disturbing. I bow to each and every CRPF jawan who has sacrificed his life in service to the nation. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

In the wake of Pulwama Attack, the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has issued an advisory to television channels to take precautionary measures during telecast of news.

 

At least 30 CRPF personnel were killed in Pulwama district when a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the bus they were travelling in, one of the worst terror strike in the state since the Uri attack in 2016. More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Awantipora area of the district.

Police said the terrorist driving the suicide vehicle was Adil Ahmad from Kakapora in Pulwama who joined the JeM in 2018.
