Mumbai, February 15: With the nation upset on the death of 44 CRPF jawans in a terror attack at Pulwama on 14th of February, the state of Maharashtra is crying loud at loss of two of them belonging to Buldhana district. The government of India reviewed the list of martyred CRPF jawans who were posted at the Jammu and Srinagar Sector.

Sanjay Rajput and Rathod Nitin Shivaji belonging to Malkapur and Lonar in Buldhana district respectively have been martyred by the JeM in terrorist attack. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis tweeted paying homage to these ‘Amar jawans’ saying that these heroes have spared their lives for the nation and the state will always remember them in our prayers.
Fadnavis, soon after the attack had strongly condemned the attack assuring that India will not spare the people behind it. “Pulwama attack is an absolute cowardly and condemnable act. Deeply pained. Entire Nation stands with the #CRPF family. We salute the supreme sacrifice for the Nation and pray for speedy recovery of the injured ones !”, he said in the series of tweet.
The NIA team that has left for Kashmir is being headed by G Mukesh Singh, a 1996 batch J&K cadre officer. The 12-member team will start investigating the attack soon. Singh is currently on deputation with NIA. He has handled terror-related cases including the ones in Nagrota, Sunjuwan and Uri.
Meanwhile, mobile Internet services have been snapped in the whole of south Kashmir while mobile Internet speeds have been reduced in the rest of the Valley. Many political analysts have called today’s attack the biggest ever on security forces in Kashmir. It’s one of the worst in the state since the Uri attack of 2016.
The Jammu Chambers of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) have called for a “peaceful bandh” tomorrow, February 15, to protest the killings. It also called upon citizens to pray for “peace to the departed souls of CRPF jawans martyred in Kashmir”.
