Strengthening our engagement with partners, Sushma Swaraj embarks three-nation visit from today

New Delhi, Feb 16: To expand our engagement and strengthening our partnership, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj starts on three-nation to visit Bulgaria, Morocco, and Spain. 

This visit aims to expand avenues of cooperation and provide an opportunity to discuss regional and global issues of importance, according to the official statement of MEA.
 
 

At first, Swaraj will visit Bulgaria for two days. During the stay of Bulgaria, Swaraj will meet Ekaterina Zaharieva, the deputy PM and Bulgarian Foreign Minister.

In this meeting, both leaders will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. In Sofia, Swaraj will pay floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the South Park in Sofia.

On February 17-18, Sushma Swaraj will visit Morocco, where she will meet Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Nasser Bourita. On this visit, it also scheduled to call on Moroccan King Mohammed VI, PM Saad Dine El Otmani and President of Moroccan Parliament, Habib El Maliki. During this visit, Sushma Swaraj will also interact with the Indian Community in Rabat.

About this visit, MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated, This visit be a follow up on the state visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Bulgarian Last year in September last year. Significantly this is the first-ever visit on Indian MEA to Bulgaria.
