Gujarat budget sets in motion with Governor O P Kohli's address

Ahmedabad, February 18: The five day session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly citing the state budget has begun from Monday, 18th of February with the governor’s address to the present intellectuals. Ahead of the LokSabha elections, it was cleared within that this budget will be a vote for account and not the interim one.
  
 
On the first day of the session, Governor OP Kohli paid homage to the soldiers who were martyred in Pulwama on 14th of February. This was followed by condolence of the death of Jayanti Bhanushali and former minister Manohar Singh Jadeja.
The Congress members in the assembly began creating mess while the Governor Kohli’s address, saying that the state assembly had ignored the significance of the martyrs in Pulwama at Kashmir. The meeting was soon ceased for the day after the keynote address. MLA Dr Nimaben Acharya submitted a vote of thanks for the Governor's address, which was approved by MLA Purneshbhai Modi.
Chairman of Gujarat Legislative Council Shri Rajendra Bhai Trivedi, Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel and Leader of Opposition Mr. Pareshbhai Dhanani welcomed the Governor in presence of LokSabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and other leaders.
