Another step towards becoming ‘Sports Capital of India’, CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centre in Bhubaneshwar

Bhubaneshwar, Feb 19: Odisha is a shining beacon of Indian sports sphere. The state government is providing every facility to sports training. Odisha takes another step toward becoming the Sports Capital of India. CM Patnaik inaugurated Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centre in Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar.

 

The ABTP Bhubaneshwar is the 4th center of this kind in the country after Mohali, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance centers are designed with an advanced medical rehabilitation center which provides performance enhancement, injury prevention and management, biomechanics, physiology testing and training. This is the first high-performance facility in the state.

 

The Odisha government has partnered with Olympian and international shooter Bindra's 'Abhinav Bindra Target Performance' (ABTP) to establish the high-performance training center.

According to an official statement, Sportspersons of Odisha and its neighboring states will now get easy access to all world-class equipment.

 

On this occasion, Abhinav Bindra, founder, and Olympian said, “A great step, thanks to the government of Odisha. We look forward to working with athletes from state to help realize their potential”.

Further, Bindra informed, from February 20, Athletes will have access to facilities in the center.

 

According to ABTP sources, the center will help sportsperson suffering from orthopedic, neurological and cardiovascular disorders with proper guidance from trained medical therapists and sports science experts.
