Ahmedabad, February 19: The Deputy CM of the Gujarat government, Nitin Patel on Tuesday presented the state budget in the assembly in presence of CM Vijay Rupani and other ministers enforcing the revolutionary policy announced by PM Modi to provide adequate employment opportunities to non-resident classes who are economically weaker.

 
“Several steps have been taken to prevent corruption in the state through legislation and proper policy. Gujarat is at the forefront in matters such as employment generation, controlling inflation, and new employment opportunities will be created by building 5000 MW World's largest power plant at Dholera”, said Patel while addressing the intellectuals. The country's total export was 19% in 2015-16, which has increased to 22% in 2017-18 and Gujarat accounts for 7.8% of GDP in the country, he added.

The government is set to provide health protection upto Rs 3 lakhs to more than 68 lakh families through "Maa" and "Maa Vaisalya" scheme in Gujarat. It has decided that now the scheme "Maa" and "Maa Vatsalya" will be provided to 68 lakh beneficiary families of Gujarat, instead of Rs. 3 lakhs, security cover of Rs. 5 lakhs like lifelong India will be provided.
Anganwadi workers who serve in more than 53,000 Anganwadi centers, will get monthly salary of Rs. 7200 will be given. Similarly, women from Teesta are now entitled to Rs. 3200 is given, in which Rs. 450 pc increase monthly 3650 will be given.
 
For the eight corporations under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Rs. 150 crores are allocated. The corporation will be guaranteed by the government for the purpose of getting more credit by encouraging people to self-employment and educational uplift.
Tribal culture, traditions and biographies of national tribal museum, performed by the Prime Minister at Garudeshwar in Narmada, will be displayed properly.
From the Ahmedabad to Shankeshwar, 103 km long trails will be built at a cost for the safety of the Maharajis of Jain society.
There is a plan to set up 8-D-Salination plants in Amreli, Bhavnagar, Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Devbhumi Dwarka and Kutch districts. The works of 10 water supply schemes of Rs. 2,800 crore have been undertaken in Dahod, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Tapi, Mahasagar, Valsad, Panchmahal and Surat districts.
There will be 20 flyovers in Ahmedabad, 20 in Surat, 8 in Vadodara, 8 in Rajkot, 3 in Jamnagar, 3 in Bhavnagar and 2 in Junagadh.
 
A total of 75 flyovers will be built in each of the districts of Dahod, Godhra, Bhuj, Mehsana, Patan, Deesa, Anand, Palanpur, Botad, Surendranagar, Porbandar, Nadiad, Navsari, Valsad, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Vapi, Himmatnagar, Amreli, Morbi and Veraval.

There is a plan to construct 135 railway over bridges and under bridges at an approximate cost of Rs 6,500 crore on rail crossing with more than one lakh train vehicle units.
