Bhopal, February 5: The Madhya Pradesh government has made it mandatory for all industries to provide 70% of the jobs to locals. The words are very good to hear or read but let us see whether it comes to reality or just fake assurances.

Principal Secretary, Department of Industry, Mohammad Suleman said, “The new industrial policy has been made effective and all industries who seek incentive and advantages from the state must provide 70% jobs to local youth. We have not received any proposal turning down incentives provided by the government; hence all industries covered under this policy will have to mandatorily follow the rule.”

CM Nath even tweeted about it and said, “Vachan patra ke vadon par amal karte hue hamne rajya sarkar dwara poshit sabhi udyogon main 70 fisadi rozgar MP ke sthaniya logon ke liye anivarya kar diya (Fulfilling our manifesto promise, we have made 70% jobs mandatory for locals across industries facilitated by state government.”

The state’s new industrial policy was introduced in December last year. The Chief Minister will now hold talks with industrialists on February 19 over investment and job creation.
