Accidental Prime Minister now to serve onlookers with 'One Day' and 'Hotel Mumbai' in a palate..!

March 1: One of the most versatile actors, Anupam Kher, is always treating his fans with different roles. After essaying his critically acclaimed role in ‘Accidental Prime Minister’, he will be seen playing a lawyer in ‘One Day’ and a top rated Chef in ‘Hotel Mumbai’.

Gearing up for his next release ‘One Day’, He unveiled the first teaser poster of the film on his social media accounts with caption, “नौकरी से रिटायर हुआ हूँ, ज़िंदगी से नहीं”, which seems like a suggestive line from the movie. The line also hints that Kher's character will come out of retirement to take up some criminal case.

 

Directed by Ashok Nanda, titled as 'One Day', with a tagline, "Every Crime Reveals A Story", the teaser poster shows a monochrome picture of Anupam Kher wearing a black coat.

The poster makes it amply clear that it is a crime suspense drama. Speculated storyline of the film which is said to release in summer, will be a Crime Branch Special Officer Investigating the Serial disappearance of high profile individuals in a state capital.

After his portrayal of the former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, it will surely be a treat for his fans to see him stepping in a lawyer’s shoes.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher will also be seen in soon to be released Hollywood Project “Hotel Mumbai” which will bring the events of 26/11 attacks in Mumbai on the screen once again.

 

Directed by Anthony Maras, ‘Hotel Mumbai’ is based on ‘Surviving Mumbai’ by Victoria Midwinter Pitt which is based on the true story of the Taj Hotel terrorist attack in Mumbai. Hotel staff risked their lives to keep everyone safe as people made unthinkable sacrifices to protect themselves and their families.

 

The film stars Oscar winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame Dev Patel, Oscar nominated ‘Call Me By Your Name’ fame Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Jason Isaacs, Suhail Nayyar and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

 

A few days back Kher, who plays role of head chef in Taj Hotel, shared a behind-the-scenes video with the cast of ‘Hotel Mumbai’ which will release on March 29 in USA.
