New Dlehi, March 2: Citing the occasion of 43rd Foundation Day of the Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS), FM Arun Jaitley along with the senior officers of Controller General of Accounts, had a brief discourse on the two economic achievements being refunds of GST and operationalization of PM-KISAN Scheme.

 
Earlier the day, FM Jaitley released a Compendium of Instructions on GST Refunds and a Copy of the Operational Manual on Internal Audit. He further appreciated CGA and his team on the occasion of Civil Accounts Day and lauded the good work being done by ICAS.
CGA presented a report on total GST refunds made till date in financial year 2018-19 which is about Rs. 84,000 crore. “Under PM-KISAN Scheme, funds have been transferred into the accounts of more than 1 crore beneficiaries”, he said.
The Rs 75,000 crore PM-KISAN scheme aims at giving Rs 6,000 per year to 12 crore small and marginal farmer families in three instalments. The scheme is completely funded by the central government. For the purpose of the calculation of the benefit, the Centre has defined a small and marginal landholder family as the one comprising of husband, wife and minor children up to 18 years of age, who collectively own cultivable land up to two hectare as per the land records of the concerned states.
