New drama by DMK, asks EC to ban Modi Biopic

Chennai, Mar 22: Elections are around the corner. The heat in the political atmosphere is rising every day. Wagering against the biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the DMK has written to the Election Commission and asked for a stay on the movie, set to be released on April 12.

DMK pursued a ban on the movie ‘PM Narendra Modi’ till the Lok Sabha elections conclude, through the petition to Election Commission they requested.

P.S Arasu Bhupathi of the DMK’s engineering wing, from Pollachi, wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Chief Electoral Officer, and the State Election Commissioner, and asked them to postpone the release of the biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi

DMK has claimed that the movie PM Narendra Modi’ portrays the political lifestyle of the PM which as per the party can influence the voters during poll season.

He has said, the movie that portrays the political lifestyle of Mr. Modi can be released after the elections.

The biopic is all set to release on April 12.
