Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 25: Indian Elections are always a hot topic, it is a time of so many speculations and anticipations. Now 2019 General Elections are around the corner. BJP Party came in power in 2014 and after that, the regional growth of Party is rapidly increasing. The regional influence of BJP is reflecting in the regional politics of different states.

This influence was visible when CPM state Secretary Kodiyari Balakrishanan brings BJP in focus. In last week, Mr. Balakrishana predicated that in Kollam, Ernakulam, Vadakara, Kozhikode and Kannur constituencies, BJP would field weak candidates to help UDF. Further, he alleged, alternately, the UDF will facilitate the win of BJP candidate Kummanam Rajashekharan in Thiruvananthapuram.

On this allegation, Congress reacted with typical attitude. Congress Candidate for Vadakara, K. Muraleedharan said, “The real understanding was between CPM and BJP. There was “Ma-B front” in action”. (Ma-B front- Marxist-BJP front)

In the earlier elections, the claims of a tacit alliance with BJP were used to be leveled by the leading fronts after campaign kicks off, but in 2019, the allegations started to spread before the campaign. This is a true sign of the increased regional influence of BJP and the set for the strong triangular contest.

The BJP’s candidate for Thiruvananthapuram, Rajashekharan said, “The allegations of Congress-BJP alliance leveled by CPM is an admission of defeat. In the last Assembly polls, CPM had back-stabbed their own candidate for Thiruvananthapuram”.

Further, he said, the election this time is between Modi supporters and Modi opponents. It is ridiculous to see the CPM secretary who is working hard to anoint Congress President as the PM. Leveling baseless allegations against us”.

On this whole issue, Congress candidate Shashi Tharoor said, “Contest will be tough in Thiruvananthapuram with Rajashekharan’s entry”. He said, ‘I don’t want to underestimate any leader”.

Kerala always with different political identity will witness triangular contest in 6-8 seats. The contest will take many turns and twists, but there is no doubt that this election will make some major changes in Kerala politics.
