Jabalpur, Jan 15: Addressing a largely attended congregation of Swayamsevsaks the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanrao Bhagwat exhorted them to work with untiring zeal to ameliorate the condition of the poor and neglected sections of the society.

Dr Bhagwat was addressing a function organised here at MLB Girls’ High School premises that was mainly attended by college students and teachers on the Makar Sankranti day. The RSS Chief asked the students to work

Stating that the occasion of Makar Sankranti as a very important celestial event, the RSS Sarsanghchalak exhorted the swayamsevaks to emulate the Sun who never deviated from his path and religiously performed his duties towards the people.

The youth must worship the Sun and learn the qualities of persistence, devotion to work and determination to accomplish that work”, Dr Bhagwat said. He said that the Sun is the only God that gives life to all the living beings besides giving the message of persistence towards the mission in life.

Listing the odds such as one-wheeled chariot a lame charioteer and no regular path with which the Sun accomplishes his duties, Dr Bhagwat said despite these odds the Sun never deviated from his path and never failed in his duties. We must follow this highest ideal in our life, he added.

The function was attended by over 1200 college students and 150 teachers. Senior RSS office-bearers of the region were present at the function.
