Now Sindhis in Pakistan demand independent Sindhu Desh

London, Oct 7: “We want such a country where there is peace, where each sect is respected and honoured and where each one enjoys the freedom to live a peaceful life. Slavery of any kind is not acceptable to us. We Sindhis believe in humanity and respect each religion”.

These views are expressed by supporters of Sindhu Desh movement who are fostering a movement for separate and independent Sindhu Desh comprising of the present Sindh province of Pakistan.

Sources associated with Independent Sindhu Desh movement here said that some people are trying to disturb and defame this peaceful movement for Sindhu Desh.  Condemning such attempts the sources called for the release of JSMM student wing JSSF chairman Hafeez Peerzada and other activists who have been incarcerated for a long time.

The sources further said that a body found lying on the Hyderabad National Highway was supposed to be of the Sindhu Desh supporter. It was wrapped in the red flag of Sidhu Desh. Getting the news, most supporters of Sindhu Desh gathered at the spot. The body was shifted to the district hospital.

The body was later identified as that of one of the activists of Sindhu Desh who was a resident of Naoshahro Firoz and associated with the Bashir Khan Qureshi group of Jiye Sindh movement. He was kidnapped by Pakistan Intelligence Agency for supporting the movement and was tortured. His body was found after a long time on the highway. 

The sources said that crackdown against the activists of Sindhu Desh is going on in Pakistan unabated. The Pakistan Intelligence Agency has clamped down on the youths for their support and love for independent Sindhu Desh. They are taken to an undisclosed destination and tortured, the sources alleged. Raids were conducted on the houses of supporters of Sindhu Desh movement.

The JSMM, JSQM, JSM, JST which are supporting the movement of independent Sindhu Desh are facing the wrath of Pakistani government dominated by the Punjabi lobby. Many of them have gone missing and given inhuman treatment.

Deploring this suppressive measures of the Pakistani government they have appealed to the Human Rights organisations, United Nation and other countries to save these activists and help them achieving freedom so that the peace loving Sindhi people from these Punjab tyrants.
