New Delhi, October 9: "In a short span of time, one party completed the journey from 'Vipaksh' to 'Vikalp' and this was due to foundations laid by Deendayal," said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was speaking on the occasion of book launch on the life of BJP ideology Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

PM Modi unveiled the “The complete works of Deendayal Upadhyaya” at Vigyan Bhavan. The book launch was also attended by RSS Sarkaryvah Bhiyaji Joshi along with BJP President Amit Shah.

Speaking on the occasion Modi said that according to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee if there were two Upadhyaya’s then the entire history of India would have changed. Modi further said that to understand Deendayal Upadhyaya’s works it is very important to study his life between1962 to 1967.

Praising Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s simplicity he said, “Whenever anyone thinks of pandit Ji, an image of simplicity comes to mind. I, however, have not had the luck to see him.”

Prime minister also stressed that his government is  pursuing Upadhyaya’s vision of ‘Antyodaya’, helping the poorest, with the poor at the centre of its policies and programmes. He also emphasised for creating an Indian society that was free of discrimination and full of peace and harmony.

Praising the achievements of Modi government RSS Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi  said that, all small and big organisations needed to contribute to the government’s efforts – including small and big social, religious and non-governmental organisations.

The 15-volume compendium provides insightful overview about the detail of the life of Upadhyay and the journey of the Jana Sangh and of the country, including watershed events like the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war, the Tashkent Agreement, and Goa's Liberation.

Speaking on the entire set of works author of the book Mahesh Chandra Sharma  said, “The entire literature of Pt.Deendayal Upadhyaya has now been published after five decades of his passing away,” The books have been published by the Research and Development Foundation for Integral Humanism, and Prabhat Publications.
