New Delhi, Nov 15: Slamming opposition parties for questioning the intent of Modi government's decision of demonetizing BJP National Secretary Shrikant Sharma said that rival parties are conspiring against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their political agenda ahead of the winter session of parliament.
He was addressing to the media at BJP headquarter. Hitting out at the Opposition, sharma said that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to curb black money and corruption with his demonetisation exercise, but opposition have "ganged up" against Modi.
Calling demonetisation as a "people's movement" Sharma said that, public is in the support of 'surgical strike' on black money. Praising the government’s decision Sharma said that demonetizing would bring transparency in the system and it should also be seen as a step towards electoral reforms. This step will clean the electoral system Sharma added.
Slamming political opponents form Uttar Pradesh Sharma said that, parties like SP and BSP are the most "opportunist" political outfits who are now raising question marks on the success of demonetisation. "Instead of pointing fingers, SP and BSP were supporting the Congress government at the Centre," he added.
