4.4 Magnitude Earthquake struck on Delhi-Harayana border

New Delhi, November 17: Today Morning, tremors were felt in New Delhi and parts of National Capital Region(NCR) after a 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck on the Delhi-Haryana border.

Strong tremors woke many in Delhi, and adjoining areas of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad.

The US Geological Survey reports the quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale.The tremors, which lasted for about one minute, shook Delhi and neighbouring areas in the National Capital Region around 4:30 am.

The duration of the earthquake was less than a minute. Many said the quake was strong enough to wake them up.

An earthquake of 3.6 magnitude had hit Punjab's Jalandhar district yesterday. That quake had a depth of 13 kilometres.
