New Delhi, November 23: Then Accounts Officer, National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), M.K. Mishra has been convicted and sentenced to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 75,000 by the Special Judge CBI Cases, Tis Hazari Courts, New Delhi.

CBI had registered the case on 24th May, 2000 on a complaint alleging that S.D. Mishra, then Inspector, CBI had demanded a bribe of Rs. 50,000 for closing a complaint against Complainant. CBI laid a trap and caught red handed M.K. Mishra, son of S.D. Mishra for accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant.

The convict M.K. Mishra took bribe on behalf of his father, then Inspector, S.D. Mishra. After the investigation, a charge sheet was filed against the accused. Charges were framed on 6th August, 2004 S.D. Mishra, then Inspector, has expired.

In another case, the Special Judge CBI Cases, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi has convicted Ram Niwas Yadav, then Additional SHO, Police Station Chaawala, New Delhi and sentenced him to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 1000.

CBI had registered the case on 22nd November, 2014 on a complaint alleging that Ram Niwas Yadav demanded a bribe of Rs. 5, 00,000 from the Complainant to remove Complainant’s name as an accused from the FIR of the case which was being investigated by Ram Niwas Yadav, then Addl.SHO posted at Chaawala, Delhi.

 CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. 1, 00,000 from the Complainant. After investigation, a charge sheet was filed in the Designated Court, Delhi. The Trial Court found the accused persons guilty and convicted them.
