Hyderabad to host annual conference of DGPs from tomorrow

Hyderabad, Nov 25 : In order to discuss the multi dimensional issues of national security top cops are scheduled to meet in the Annual conference of Director Generals of Police at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be attending the inaugural session where PM Modi Narendra Modi will address the meet on Saturday. 

Home Minister Minister Rajnath Singh will interact with the top police officers and will get their feedback about the internal security situation and various aspects of police personnel.

Issues like Cross-border terrorism, terror funding, Pak-sponsored terror and challenges like ISIS and radicalisation of youth will be discussed in the three day conference.

Other issues like filling up of vacant posts in various police forces, police reforms, improving police to population ratio, narcotics smuggling and human trafficking will also be discussed during the conference.

The conference will be attended by around 100 Director Generals of Police (DGPs) of states, chiefs of Central paramilitary forces and their Inspectors General. This is the 51st meet of DGPs and IGPs and the third outside Delhi.
