Punjab, November 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday offered prayers at Gurdwara Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib.

Sporting a saffron headgear, Modi was presented a 'siropa' or robe of honour by the Sikh priests at the historic gurdwara, the second holiest of Sikh shrines after Amritsar's Golden Temple.

The Prime Minister later participated in a public function to mark the celebration of the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh. PM Modi spoke in a public rally in Anandpur Sahib.

Addressing the rally he said that in the coming day’s government aims in providing better facilities for railways in Patna Sahib. He also spoke how Guru Gobind Maharaj inspired generations and generations who fought with brave heart and gave message of unity to people.

On Friday morning, Prime Minister released two books- ‘New Version of Constitution of India’ and ‘Making of Constitution’ on the occasion of Constitution Day and shed an importance on our Constitution. While addressing the book release he said that just knowing articles is not enough, it is important to be connected with the spirit of Constitution.

Also PM Modi laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhathinda, Punjab in order to cater the areas where diseases like cancer are widely prevalent.
