Bangkok, November 30: After winning their tournament in Thailand by 9 wickets, the Indian Women's team carried on their good form in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup at Bangkok, in their second match against Pakistan. The Indian women's team, led by a solid all-round performance from captain Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated Pakistan by five wickets in their third match of the Asia Cup.
Harmanpreet Kaur took 2 wickets which helped India win against Pakistan. The captain, Harmanpreet starred with the ball as she took 2/16 and then successfully chased the win by finishing not out on 26 from 22 balls, with 3 fours. Ekta Bisht's superb 3/20 in four overs and a miserly 2/12 in four from off spinner Anuja Patil had also added to Pakistan's underwhelming total. In pursuit of a target of 98, Mithali Raj made 36 off 57 balls to hold up one end as India slumped to 51/3 in 12 overs. Harmanpreet ensured she finished the job.

From 60 runs for 3 wickets in 13 overs to 97 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs, the run rate of the Pakistan women's cricket team was completely brought to a standstill by the Indian women's cricket team bowlers.

The win was also India's third in as many games. They now sit on the top of the table with six points followed by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The other teams in the competition are Bangladesh, Thailand and Nepal.
