New Delh, Nov 4: The Lt Governor's office has rejected a Delhi government proposal for mohalla clinics inside school premises, and sent back the file related to the project, officials said.

"If a clinic has to be opened inside the school, then these rules need to be amended," said the official from office of Lt Governor of Delhi. He further added that the file has been sent back for some amendments.

The official informed that there are some restrictions under the Delhi School Education Act according to which school premises can only be used for functioning of the school and no unauthorised person can enter the premises, etc.

Mohalla clinics are run by the Delhi government and are aimed at providing free primary healthcare to all.
