Lucknow, Dec 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to address a ‘Parivartan Rally’ at Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, but due to inclement weather his chopper could not land at the meeting site. He addressed the meeting on his cell phone.

He had to return to Lucknow from where he addressed the rally on a mobile phone. Addressing the rally Prime Minister reiterated that the country was facing hardships for better tomorrow. Warning those dishonest persons, he said that the common citizens are participating in this ‘festival of honesty’.

He was addressing the gathering at Baharaich from Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport Lounge.

The public meeting was organised at Maharaja Suheldev Sthal in Vishwariya village in Bahraich Janapad on Sunday. People have gathered there since morning braving the biting cold to hear the Prime Minister. But they had to satisfy them on Modi’s audio only.

Bowing to the people of Bahraich, Prime Minister launched a frontal attack on the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress for speaking the same language. He said he has waged a fight against corruption and the country was supporting him in this fight for a better tomorrow.

The Prime Minister assured the people that BJP would provide better administration and development to the people. He appealed to the people of the state to defeat SP and BSP. He exuded confidence that the country would win this fight for honesty and development and the dishonest people would be punished.

The Prime Minister said that those who were rejected by the people are making much noise. We are ready for discussion, but they do not want discussion, they want to disrupt the Parliament. They are creating hurdles in the House instead of allowing it to function.

The note-ban has brought more difficulties for the corrupt and daily some of them are brought in the purview of the law. Stating that Uttar Pradesh has been converted into ‘Gunda Rajya’, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to throw off this ‘Gunda Raj’ and ensure safe and good governance.

He said he had launched the fight against black money and would rest only after his mission is fulfilled. Parliament is not being allowed to function. We are ready for a debate, but not being allowed to present our viewpoint, the Prime Minister said.

He added that government was punishing those who were indulging in cheating and corruption. “Ours is a government of the poor and for the welfare of poor”, Modi assured.
