New Delhi, Dec 15 : Calling comments made by vice president Rahul Gandhi an empty rhetoric BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that, how can the Congress vice-president, who is himself involved in case of corruption, can target Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament swamy said, "Is his statement some Veda or statement of God or saint? At least, he should make a statement on some basis," Gandhi's statement does not carry any substance, said Swamy.
Warning Rahul Gandhi about the legal actions over his comments swamy said that having knowledge of any offence and not reporting it to the authorities carries a punishment of three years.
Earlier Congress leader had yesterday alleged he has detailed information on "personal corruption" by the Prime Minister which he wants to present in Lok Sabha but he was not being allowed to speak in the House.
Taking a bold stand on frequent disruption in the house Swamy said, "The government is too soft...They should ask the Speaker to bring the marshal in and throw out everybody who disrupts the house after a day or two."
