Vadodara, Dec 17 : A four-day annual meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh western region has began at Swaminarayan temple premises where RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will remain present during four-day long marathon meeting.
Speaking to the media RSS western region in-charge (Kshetra Sanghchalak ) Dr Jayanti bhai Bhadesiya stated that around 136 activists from 35 vibhags or divisions of the three states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa attending the meeting .
"The meeting began with flag salutation and then the work of reviewing the past work and plan for future were taken up," said Jayanti Bhadesiya.
Refuting the media reports on discussion on Gujarat assembly elections during meeting Bhadesiya said that the meeting a routine affair for RSS and no political discussion is on our agenda.
He further added that large number of youths are willing to join RSS so we consider this development a welcome step for RSS. The meeting will also discuss on how to accommodate the rising number of Sangh members, said Bhadesiya.
Earlier RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat met In-charge of BAPS organisation at the Swaminarayan temple premises located on the outskirts of the city.
