New Delhi, Dec 18: In an attempt to seek the innovative ideas and inputs for Youth Development and empowerment ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has organised the one day conference on Youth Development and sports.
Minister of State Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel will inaugurate the daylong Conference. This is for the first time ministry has decided to convene the conference on this subject initiating dialogue between government and stake holder for the betterment of youth.
The main Objective behind this conference is to discuss and generate ideas for youth development and empowerment so that the current schemes, programmes and interventions can be improved upon.
The forum would provide the platform for discussion on the subjects like improvement in the current Schemes, Programmes and Institutions of the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, inputs for achieving better synergy, convergence in the activities on youth organisations. and to bring new, Innovative Ideas for development and empowerment of youth.
More than one hundred participants from civil society organisations, NGOs, Experts, Young leaders, senior officials from the Ministry, representatives from autonomous organisations such as NYKS, NSS, RGNIYD, representatives of NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Indian Red Cross Society and Eco Clubs, representatives of UN bodies in India UNDP, UNV and UNFPA, working for the youth are scheduled to take part in the Conference.
