Surat, Dec 20 : RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat is scheduled to participate in the programme of tribals at Gangpur village of Vansada taluka in Navsari on December 31.
Bharat Sevashram Sangh is organising the mass religious gathering where 50,000 tribals from different districts of south Gujarat will mark their presence in this event.
Speaking to the media Swami Ambrishanand of BSS said, "We are celebrating 100 years of BSS at our ashram in Gangpur and for the event we sent invite to Bhagwatji.
He accepted it and agreed to remain present as chief guest. We are expecting a huge turnout of tribal population at the event". Before visiting south Gujarat bhagwat will be visiting other parts of state with tribal population.
Informing about the historical background of BSS Swami Ambrishanand said that Bharat Sevashram Sangh was founded around 100 years ago by Swami Pranavanandji Maharaj in a village currently in Bangladesh.
Along with tribals, large number of RSS workers from across the state are likely to participate in the event.
