Mumbai, Dec 21: Coming out as a major breakthrough for ruling BJP laid Maharashtra government after a stormy winter session of Nagpur, Anti-Corruption Bureau has given a clean chit to women and child development minister Pankaja Munde in the graft case of chikki.
Informing about the decision ACB official said that due to insufficient circumstantial evidences ACB has closed the case resulting into clean chit for Pankaja Munde. In a written reply to the MPCC spokesperson Sachin Sawant ACB’s Additional CP Keshav Patil said that no truth was found in the allegations against Munde.
The Maharashtra anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has recommended the closure of the chikki scam case where corruption charges was levelled against minister Pankaja Munde for alleged irregularities in awarding contracts for materials worth Rs206 crore for school children.
Earlier Congress leader Sachin Sawant had lodged a complaint with the ACB demanding an inquiry into the allegations against Munde and submitted a file of documents supporting the charges.
