Varanasi, December 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi on Thursday slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and all the other opposition parties on demonetisations and various allegations made upon him. PM Modi said, “Good that the young leader started speaking, now no chance of quake.” He also said that, he never thought that some politicians would stand beside corrupt people.
In respond to the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi as he said large parts of India did not get access to education PM Modi replied that this report card belongs to Congress as they ruled country for so many years.
Prime Minister Modi also said that these days a big cleanliness campaign is going on therefore some people who are caught with black money and some are caught with black heart. Taking on Mamta Bannerjee, PM Modi said that our army makes us proud but some people have questions even on their bravery. He asked a question straight away, is it good to view institutions like this?
Notably, the prime minister’s remarks come just a day after Gandhi alleged at a public rally in Gujarat that in the records with Income Tax department, there were notings of Sahara officials’ claims that they paid PM Modi nine times between October 2013 and February 2014, and that the total amount was Rs 40 crore.
On this account, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Mahamana Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre in Varanasi and Cancer Centre and Super Speciality Hospital at Banaras Hindu University. He also inaugurated a Trade Facilitation Centre & Crafts Museum and launch schemes & programmes. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for ESI super speciality hospital.
After laying the foundations, PM Modi said that we have a lot of human resource capability in India and Indian doctors have distinguished themselves at the world stage. He further said that the role of technology in medical science is increasing and also said that we are moving towards providing best medical facilities in India.
PM Modi said that the need of the hour is to provide quality and affordable healthcare to the people of India especially the poor. Therefore, government of India is committed to provide best medical facilities and cheaper medicines to the poor. PM Modi added, “if someone is suffering from cancer, why should one go far for treatment. We decided a cancer research institute should come up here.”
He also said that the land of Kashi is of spiritual importance and has tremendous tourism potential. It is also a trade centre, he added. Prime Minister Modi at the end of his speech urged the youth to move towards online banking and said that the mobile phones can be used as banks and wallets.
