New Delhi, Dec 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted his predecessor Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 93rd birthday.
Vajpayee, who was born on December 25m 1924, completed 92 years today. His birthday is celebrated as “Good Governance Day” from 2014 soon after the Modi government came at the centre with a thumping majority after a gap of three decades.

Modi called on Vajpayee at his residence this morning and wished him good health.
In his tweeter message, Modi prayed for good health for Vajpayee and also said that his exemplary service and leadership had a very positive impact on India’s growth story.
The Prime Minister shared an old video with Vajpayee to highlight how he interacted with activists of the party with much simplicity and warmth.
Modi also wished a happy birthday to his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif whose birthday coincides with that of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s. It may be recalled that Modi had made an unscheduled visit to Lahore last year to visit and wish Nawaz Sharif happy birthday. He was returning to India from Afghanistan.
December 25 is also the birth anniversary of Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya, founder of Benaras Hindu University (BHU). Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who represents Varanasi in the Lok Sabha bowed to Mahamana’s memory and recalled his contributions to the India’s freedom struggle.
