Veda Ravishankar and his instruments at the Dharma Sanskriti Mahakumbha at Nagpur

Nagpur, Dec 25: Emphasising that the Vedic hymns are basically scientific equations and the rituals are their applications, Veda Ravishankar, Scientific Advisor from the Vedic and Scientific Research Foundation (VSRF) claimed that sound health, pure environment and prosperity of the nation could be achieved by performing these applications in standard conditions.

He was attending the ongoing “Dharma Sanskriti Mahakumbh” here and monitoring the effects of chanting of hymns like the “Shiv Mahimna Stotram” and “Hanuman Chalisa” on the environment.

Ravishankar is the direct disciple of Swami Ramakrishnanda Saraswathy Swamigal, Atharva Veda Sankaracharya of Sri Vidya Peetham who had founded the Vedic and Scientific Research Foundation (VSRF) to explore the scientific knowledge hidden in ancient Indian Vedas and to serve the society by bridging science and spirituality.

VSRF had conducted several research projects on Indian traditional Vedic knowledge for the psychological and physiological betterment of mankind, environment protection and preservation of nature. The VSRF had also conducted research activities by implementing Vedic knowledge in defence, atmospheric science, astronomy, medicine, etc. The VSRF also aims to create global scientific society deep rooted in the realm of spirituality, he added.

Veda Ravishankar in association with a team of junior research scientists of Nagpur-based National Environment Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has installed the monitoring machines to conduct a research on the impact of “Dharma Sanskruti Mahakumbh” on the atmosphere.

The effects of havan are known because many scientists from India have presented several research papers on the same. It perhaps helps in pollution control. The VSRF has designed the methodology to monitor the effects of yagya on the panchamahabhuta i.e. the five basic elements of nature and the panchendriyas i.e. the five senses, he added.

Ravishankar has confirmed that just by offering the herbal powder of different herbs like ‘durva’ and ‘tulsi’ etc. and reciting hymns by offering cow ghee could assure physical, mental and environmental cleansing.

With the help of ISRO scientists, the VSRF is also monitoring the effects of electromagnetic sound waves created by the recitation of certain mantras. The preservation of these electromagnetic waves and sending them in space could help the scientists to clear the debris of many elements in the space, he stated.
