‘Humanoid robot’ designed by Coimbatore based engineer to help reduce work pressure of bankers

Coimbatore, December 3: Amid the ongoing demonetization drive, a recent innovation by Coimbatore based software engineer and designer Vijay of a humanoid Robot to help people at banks may prove to be sigh of relief to bankers and customers.
Vijay claims that, “This robot helps bank customers by telling them how to open account and also gives info of existing accounts, understands 15 languages.” The sole aim of this robot will be to help customers at the banks, answer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and also provide information to people relating to their existing bank accounts.

The robot can prove to be beneficial in many ways like over-crowding at banks, confusing directions, answering queries and unhelpful bank employees. This robot will certainly reduce work load on manpower.

This is not a first creation aimed to help Indian banking system. Earlier a robot named ‘lakshmi’ was introduced in Chennai who was the first on site bank helper capable of handling 125 subjects.

Since the demonetization drive is been declared by PM Modi the work load on bank employees had been increasing. People have created a ruckus with many waiting for hours outside banks and ATMs to replace their old scrapped notes and collect usable cash.

Also demonetization has promoted digital wallet firms like Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge and others resulting in making e-commerce and technologically advanced banking the formal mode of transaction in the country. According to which this innovation can surely ease the pain that is been faced by Indian banking system in current time period.
