Hyderabad, February 11: The Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO will launch the Cryogenic mark III based GSLV satellite launch vehicle during December this year. ISRO senior official and VSSC Director Dr K Sivan told reporters on the sidelines of the 10th High Energy Materials Conference and Exhibition held in Hyderabad this morning.

He said the GSLV will be Stage-tested in two months and go for launching in December. He also said the electric propulsion will be used in the satellites for the first time in India. He further said ISRO will also undertake tests to bring back humans safe to earth in case if sent to space and the moon.
Defence laboratory HEMRL Director K P S Murthy said extensive research is underway to develop the table-top Explosives Detector Kits to identify initially over 20 types of explosive materials. He said it will take about three years to bring them into use. 

These single kits can be used anywhere such as Airports and fields for Defence and civil purpose. The three day International Conference on High Energy Material has witnessed about 600 researchers and academicians working in high energy materials.
