Vrindavan, Feb 9: The policies adopted by Narendra Modi government at the Centre will not only achieve the material progress in the country but also spread the spiritual message of India into the world.

These views were expressed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah here recently. Shah was speaking after inaugurating the Priua Kantju Mandir established by Shanti Sewadham here in presence of dignitaries and large gathering.

Shah said that after independence due to embracing falsehood the country has drifted away from Dharma. But Modi is such a Prime Minster who visited the holy city of Kashi and offered prayers and Aarti to Ganga River after being nominated for the post.

Shah added that the country has got the Prime Minister for the first time who openly speaks of making the Ganga clean and free from pollution. This government has initiated steps to identify and protect and preserve the symbols of country’s culture and Sanatana Dharma.

The BJP President said that for the first time the Prime Minister impressed upon the global leaders the importance of yoga in life and his proposal to observe the International Day of Yoga was supported by over 170 nations of the world.

Shah said that when the people try all other ways and means to achieve peace and tranquillity and get tired of them they turn to Sanatana Dharma and culture as their last and sure resort.

Urging people to adopt the message of Geeta, the BJP chief said that it is this land of Vrindavan (Brajbhumi) that had given a personality like Lord Krishna to the humanity who had preached this eternal message of peace through Geeta. If we adopt and imbibe the message of Geeta no one would face any problem and difficult in his life, he added.

The BJP President said that though he lived in Delhi he belonged to Gujarat. There is a strong bond between Gujarat and Vrindavan because of Lord Krishna, he said adding that this bond gives him inspiration and strength to work whenever he visited Vrindavana.

Chairman of Vishwa Shanti Charitable Trust Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj appealed to him to bring Yamuna waters to Vrindavan, execute ban on cow slaughter and shun the culture of English medium schools. In response the BJP president assured him appropriate action saying that he shared his concerns and views and sought people’s blessings for the BJP governments to fulfil their aspirations.

Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that only Hindu culture and Sanatana Dharma has the capability to emancipate the humanity from the ill effects of materialism and consumerism.

The Governor of HaryanaKaptan Singh Solanki, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Maya Singh, Chhattisgarh Cabinet Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal, Mathura MP and famous danseuse Hema Malini, BJP national spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi, senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar graced the occasion by their presence.
