Colombo, March 20: The Sri Lankan police arrested twelve Indian nationals belonging to profession of medical business for abusing visa conditions on Friday.
The twelve Indian nationals arrested included seven females, in Kattankudy in Batticaloa district as they were engaged in business having arrived on tourist visas.
The Police said the group had been engaged in the trade of medicinal drugs in several areas across the country and the police had seized herbal oils and other herbal products that were in their possession.
The suspects were presented to the Batticaloa Magistrate's Court on Saturday and given judicial custody. Kattankudy Police are conducting further investigations.
