6.9 magnitude tremors felt in North belt; Epicenter reported to be Myanmar

Beijing, April 13: Strong tremors, lasting for about a minute, were felt in Tibet. The state run news agency said the tremors were felt in Lhasa, the regional capital of the Tibet Autonomous region. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. Residents were seen rushing out of their houses.

Initial reports from European Mediterranean Seismological Centre says Earthquake of magnitude 7 hit Myanmar. 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar is at intermediate depth about 130 km. This reduces the potential impact said EMSC. 
People coming out of a tall builing in Bhubaneswar after tremors were felt in the city. The aftershocks spread panic in Ranchi too where terrified people ran out of apartments and from some offices in Mahatma Gandhi Road. Embeded Object

Andaman Islands hit by 4.7 earthquake 20 mins after Myanmar quake, says European Mediterranean Seismological Centre. 

There were no immediate reports of damage to property or life. "I was preparing evening snacks when boxes stashed in the kitchen shelf started trembling. It was my first experience of earthquake. It was very frightening," said Priya Devi of Jharkhand.

Nepal Bangladesh and Bhutan, as well, felt the quake. According to initial reports, the earthquke's epicentre is northwest of Mandalay. According to the National Centre of Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 7:25 pm at a depth of 134 km.
