Mumbai, May 18: The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex is currently trading lower by 183.70 points, or 0.71%, to 25,589.91, while the Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) falls 49.45 points, or 0.63%, to 7,841.30. 

United Bank of India falls 5% to Rs.18.25 after the bank reported a net loss of Rs.413.04 crore in March quarter as compared to net profit of Rs.104.52 crore a year ago. 
Asian shares are mostly lower on Wednesday after a dismal day on Wall Street. But shares in Tokyo were buoyed by better-than-expected GDP data. 

Japan’s Nikkei 225 stock index jumps 0.6% to 16,753.55 and Singapore and Indonesia rise. But most other regional benchmarks fall.  

The Shanghai Composite index drops 1.1% to 2,812.57 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng loses 1.3% to 19,861.14. South Korea’s Kospi is down 0.6% to 1,957.07. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 falls 0.2% to 5,387.00.
