New Delhi, July 12: Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were the only Indian celebrities to make way for the Forbes list of world’s highest paid celebrity, which was released on Sunday. With annual earnings of 33 Million dollars, Fan’s star Shahrukh Khan successfully bagged the 86th position on the list. On the other hand, star of upcoming film ‘Rustom’ Akshay Kumar was placed on 94th position with making about 31.5 million dollars in a year.    
Musician Taylor Swift with $170 million in her earning bag seized the top spot on the list. The pop superstar smashed the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record, grossing $200 million on the continent en route to a quarter-billion dollars in total for her 1989 World Tour. Band One Direction took the No. 2 spot, with earnings of $110 million, followed by author James Patterson at 3rd position with $95 million.

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo sparked in the Forbes list after claiming Euro cup title for Portugal under his captainship and got 5th rank in the list with earnings of 88 Million dollars. The comedian Kevin Hart at No. 6 with $87.5 million) has been touring like a rock star with a gross north of $1 million per stop; actress Jennifer Lawrence at No. 50 with $46 million earnings is once again the world’s best-paid leading lady; former wrestler and present actor Dwayne Johnson at No. 19 with $64.5 million earnings posted Rock-solid box office numbers to become the top-earning actor on the planet; and Kim Kardashian (No. 43, $51 million) made millions on her mobile game.

There is plenty of geographical diversity on the list, but the Celeb 100 underscores the chronic pay gap in the entertainment world: there are only 15 women on the list, down from 16 last year. The world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $5.1 billion pretax over the past 12 months, more than the GDP of Belize, Gambia and Bhutan combined.  Forbes ranked talent across the entire entertainment world including, stars from Hollywood to Bollywood, creating a truly international list in which over one third of the celebrities are from outside the U.S.
