New Delhi, July 17: After the political crisis and interference of Supreme Court, Arunachal Pradesh is set to see Congress leader Pema Khandu as Chief Minister who will replace former leader Kalikho Pul. Union Minister of state for home affairs Kiren Rijiju shared opinion on his Facebook page about this development.

He said, Kalikho Pul may have lost the court battle but he has defined work culture with his astute human touch. He will be remembered forever as people's CM.

Rijiju further said that political duty must be above political lines. “I will always stand for the common people because they stood behind me to defeat the money and muscle power. Every CM has contributed to the growth of Arunachal Pradesh. I remember once Tuki called me and genuinely asked that Film Institute be given to Arunachal which I promised him”.

Promising full support of Centre to Arunachal Pradesh, Rijiju further said, “CM is the captain of a State and without the support & leadership of CM I can't fulfill my dream to make Arunachal a developed State. Pema Khandu is young and one of the finest human being and I promise him that Union Govt will extend maximum support to Arunachal Pradesh with my personal intervention”.

While concluding Rijuju said, “People have rightly questioned the morality of polity due to the unsavory conduct of legislators. Political duty must be above political lines. Arunachal BJP will play a constructive opposition role but the bottom line is: We are not enemies but friends carrying different political ideas”.
