New Delhi, Aug 19: The National Democratic Alliance led by BJP under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to repeat its government after the 2019 elections.

This was the finding of a recent survey titled ‘Mood of the Nation’ conducted by India Today in collaboration with Karvy. The survey forecasted a clear majority for the NDA in 2019.

The survey concluded that the NDA is likely to get over 300 seats (precisely 304) as compared to 336 in 2014. Thought there seems to be slight fall in the number of seats, securing power seems to be a cakewalk for Modi and NDA in 2019.

Even after several social confrontation Modi government has tightened its grip over National politics making the principle opposition party irrelevant in present political condition.

Narendra Modi has turned as a master strategist for his party. Personal image of Prime Minister Modi has been glorified as he has turned out to be the undisputed leader in the biggest democracy of the world. The survey indicated the marginal influence of anti-incumbency factor in the run up to 2019 polls .

As many as 54 percent of the respondents voted in favour of Modi while Congress Vice-President lagged far behind with just 13 per cent votes followed by Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Even though people endorsed Modi as the best Prime Minister, they have voted for Arvind Kejriwal followed by Nitish Kumar as good chief ministers, both are considered as the arch rival of Narendra Modi and competitors for the Prime Ministerial post. The Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi failed to make his impression as a mature leader, says survey.

The survey was carried out across 97 parliamentary constituencies in 19 states. More than 12,000 interviews were conducted and the fieldwork was done during July 15-27.
