New Delhi, August 19: Popular for being in controversy for his words, Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh was again caught in a controversial talks. This time he invited problem for himself after referring Kashmir as ‘India-occupied Kashmir’.
PM Modi had earlier expressed anxiety over the poor state of people of PoK and Baluchistan. This was considered as a great diplomatic turn by India against Pakistan. But Congress leader Manishankar Aiyer and CPI party opposed the PM on the matter.
Now voicing his opinion in the same direction, Digvijay Singh on Thursday said that Prime Minister’s concern over Balochistan and Pakistan is welcomed but PM should try to win hearts of people residing in Kashmir.
Moreover, he said that whether it is India-occupied Kashmir or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the matter will be solved only through talks and PM’ words will destroy the situation instead of making. When he was counter-questioned by reporter about his words, he clarified that he was taking about the area of Kashmir which is captured by India.
Controversy often finds Congress leader Digvijaya Singh. Last month, he was in a soup after a 2012 video surfaced showing him praising controversial Mumbai Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, who is said to have inspired the Dhaka cafe bombing terrorists.
