Gandhinagar, Aug 5: Defying all speculations and assumptions BJP legislative party in Gujarat on Friday elected Vijay Rupani as the New Chief Minister replacing Anadiben Patel. Nitin Patel will be the Deputy CM.
Speculations were rife on Nitin Patel’s name but BJP chose Rupani a close aide and first choice of BJP National president Amit Shah. Vijay Rupani who is currently Gujarat BJP President will be the 29th Chief Minister of Gujarat. Rupani who hails from Rajkot Saurashtra region of Gujarat shares warm relations with Prime Minister Modi and BJP National President Amit shah.
