Dadri, September 19: Dadri was announced as a district on Monday by the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar making it the 22nd district of the state. The process will soon be set in motion to make Dadri a district which would help speed up the development and growth of the area, informed Khattar, at the Vikas Rally at Dadri in Bhiwani district.
Khattar pointed out that RSS had been treating Dadri as a district since 1992, as it had been appointing representatives in the sub-division in a similar way as they do in a district. He said that as looking after the affairs of the RSS in this area and hence for the Sangh, Dadri became a district in 1992.
Various projects were also announced by Khattar for Dadri. The projects included Rs 1.90- crore for water supply pipeline in Dadri town, Rs 3.5 crore for the construction of a pedestrian overbridge between Gandhinagar and Grain Market, Vyayamshalas in 10 villages, completion of work on Dadri drain, early completion of the consolidation work in 80 villages, construction of varous roads by the Public Works Department and Marketing Board, a college for boys in Badhra Assembly segment subject to the availability of 25 acres of land, setting up a wrestling hall in Balali, 33 KV substation in Paintawas village and Kamod and Multi Skill Training Centre in Ghasaula village.
Radhe Shyam, sarpanch of Bond Khurd village in Charkhi Dadri expressed his gratitude saying, “We’re extremely happy. The move would be an end to our endless problems related to water shortage, electricity and road connectivity.” Also, it has been announced that state government would procure bajra on the pattren adopted last year by the state government.
