New Delhi, Sept 30 : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the issues of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in a meeting held here today.
During the meeting, he asked officials of ITBP to strengthen the Border Out Posts construction and up-gradation of helipads, additional air courier services for the force. He also emphasized for better housing, health and Education facilities for ITBP workforce.
Rajnath directed MHA officials to extend necessary assistance to the ITBP for the welfare of the jawans and their families and provide them training and better equipments. A presentation on the issue of cadre management was made by Director General ITBP D.K.Chaudhary.
The meeting was attended by MoS, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Secretary Shri Rajiv Mehrishi , Secretary (Border Management) Shri Susheel Kumar and senior officers from ITBP and MHA.
