Mumbai, Jan 11 : Taking yet another step in the flagship programme of Digital India Maharashtra government has launched a digital platform for 7/12 utara a crucial land document under Digital India Land Record Modernisation Programme across state. This decision will provide relief to farmers in distress.

Speaking on the occasion Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that, government will provide the digitally signed 7/12 extracts through the online platform of DILRMP.

He further informed that in the first phase, project will be implemented in the districts of Nashik and Wardha where state is planning for complete digitization till March 2017.

Informing about the current status Fadnavis said that around 2.5 crore 7/12 extracts have been brought online until now. He also requested farmers to use AapleSarkar portal to get the computerised 7/12 utara digitally signed by the concerned official.

The 7/12 extract' is an extract from the land register maintained by the Revenue department. The extract provides information of the survey number of the land, the name of the owner, its cultivator, the type of cultivation etc.
