New Delhi, January 11: The Congress scion and Vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched his first salvo of the New Year after his ten days vacation abroad and attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the PM is being ridiculed the world over.
Rahul said the BJP had detroyed many institutions like the Reserve Bank of India, the Election Commission and the judiciary.
Addressing the party's ''Jan Vedana Sammelan'' here, he asked for the source of income to hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent Lucknow rally.
“Mr. Modi claims he will transform India, but people have only lost their livelihood and lives. Is that transformation?”, he said.
“Ache Din will return to India only when the Congress comes back to power in 2019. Earlier, the BJP had mocked MGNREGA, but it is now saving lives,” he asserted.
Media was working with severe constraints under the present government. “Modi speaks of yoga, but can’t do a basic padmasan,” he said.
The party moved a resolution condoling with the death of those while standing in bank queues post demonetisation.
Notable the "Jan" (people) were missing except Congress cadre in the meeting.
Other party leaders joined Rahul as chorus blaming PM Modi.
