Mumbai, January 13: Are you worried about your weight? How much do you weigh? 50 kg! 90 kg! Hold your breath peeps, an Egyptian woman weighs around 500 kg. Eman Ahmed, who couldn’t move from her home for almost 25 years due to her weight is going to get operated fortunately in Mumbai. Around Rs.2 Cr is the cost at which the woman is going to get operated in the Saifee Hospital of Charni Road.
Eman Ahmed, world’s heaviest women is going to undergo bariatric surgery so that she gets cured. Due to inability to move from bed she got grasped with many other ailments like diabetes, asthma, hypertension, pulmonary problems, and depression. Saifee Hospital has started constructing 3000 sqm special vicinity at the ground floor behind the hospital’s main wing in order to carry out the surgery and other proceedings. It includes an operation theatre, Intensive Care Unit, doctor’s room, attendants’ room, restrooms and video conferencing room. This costs almost for Rs.2 Crores which is going to spend by hospital to get “one-bed hospital” for her.
This is constructed by considering the weight of Eman Ahmed. Right from the doors to the beds occupied in the hospital for the treatment is going to be considered. The team of doctors comprising Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, Saifee's consultant bariatric surgeon, a cardiologist, a cardiac surgeon, an endocrinologist, a chest physician, two intensivists, and three anesthetists will operate upon Eman Ahmed and will also be involved in her post-operative care.
Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala tweeted about the preparations done for the construction of hospital and said that the preparations for the surgery has already begun and it will be done free of cost. Eman Ahmad ‘s family will not have to pay for her post-surgery recuperation. She will be under my observation for atleast 6 months. Also Sushma Swaraj has promised to help to bring Eman Ahmed in India for treatment with all the possible help needed.
