Chandigarh, January 17: Navjot Singh Siddhu is far-famed for his witty style and impulsive acts which stir the atmosphere around him. It seems that Siddhu's jazzy entry in Punjab congress has stirred the party bigwigs who are pointing at Congress president for any decision in the state.
Congress state chief Amarinder Singh Tuesday said that now the Congress president will decide on the chief ministerial face for the Punjab assembly polls. On Navjot Singh Siddhu's CM candidature, Amrindar Singh commented that he knows nothing and that is Congress President’s decision.
“There is no deal with Navjot Sidhu, Congress doesn’t do deals with anybody,” Amarinder told reporters in Patiala when asked if Sidhu would be offered an important post if the party wins the assembly polls.
“He has never said anything like that (there has been no talk in this regard with Sidhu),” he added.
“The entire campaign is being handled by me and then you are asking me this question,” he added in a lighter vein.
Amarinder lauded that the former BJP MP Sidhu had himself stated that he was a “born Congressman”.
