New Delhi, January 22: Bollywood star and Iconic actor Akshay Kumar on Sunday tweeted and revealed that Airlift is the only one movie which is very special for him. He said, “Every actor has one film which means the world to him, Airlift is just that for me.”
Notably, Airlift was released on this day last year. Therefore Akshay choosed this day to share it. Akshay Kumar worked in over 100 films, but Airlift is the one which is special for him.
Akshay played an NRI businessman based in Kuwait, who carries out a rescue operation of fellow Indians in the country during its invasion launched by Saddam Hussein's Iraq in the Raja Krishna Menon-directed film.
On the other side, Actress Nimrat Kaur, who shared screen space with Akshay in the film, says she is fortunate to be a part of the 2016 war thriller directed by Raja Krishna Menon.
Notably, Akshay Kumar's character Ranjit Katyal in Airlift movie was based on Mathews, starts off as a self-centered, rich businessman in Kuwait with disdain for all things Indian. However, when Ranjit sees that not just his family but the families of hundred others are stuck in Kuwait, he realises his duty towards humanity and his country. Soon enough, he struggles hard and arranges for the safe airlift evacuation of over a lakh Indians. Airlift was one of the biggest hit of the year 2016, won many awards.
