Visakhapatnam, Jan 27 : Describing Andhra Pradesh as a major force for sustainable development Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that central government will provide all the possible aid for the development of Andhra Pradesh. He also promised that Modi government will fulfil all the promises made at the time of bifurcation for multiplying the growth of Andhra Pradesh.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of the 21st CII Partnership Summit-2017, organised by CII in association with the Commerce and Industry Ministry and the Andhra Pradesh government.
Commenting on the recent decision of demonetization and GST bill, Jaitley expressed that the economic move will pay rich dividends which will change the fortune of Indian economy. He further added that the recent policy changes at the central and state levels in India have made the country the best place to invest, despite protectionism followed by the developed countries.
On this occasion Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu were present.
"Over 2,000 delegates from 51 countries will converge in Visakhapatnam for the annual flagship event of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)," the industry body said in a statement.
