Jalandhar, Jan 27 : Kick-starting the poll campaign for upcoming Punjan polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that farmers in Punjab will get more share of water from Indus water. He also announced that government will bring back the Indus water which goes to Pakistan. He was speaking at the election rally.
Praising Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for his contribution in the development of Punjab Modi urged people to vote in favour of SAD-BJP alliance for re-electing Parkash Singh Badal in the upcoming Assembly elections. Punjab will go to polls on February 4.
Calling Punjab a land of the brave and courageous people PM Modi said that "some people" who were saying "improper things" about the youth needed to be taught a lesson so they don't "point another finger at the state."
Comparing Congress party with the sinking ship Modi urged people not to vote for congress. Hitting out the opposition parties who were against the decision of demonetization Modi said, “For the last three months, I am being targeted but they must understand I am not going to relent. I am fighting against dishonesty”.
